This beautiful nine-year-old Uyghur girl from Xinjiang suffered from myelomeningocele. She spent eight years at a well-known children’s hospital in China, undergoing eight major surgeries, yet she still experienced incontinence, urinary tract infections, kidney hydronephrosis, and deformities in her lower limbs. Last summer, she came to Xiao Chuan-Guo Hospital and underwent the Xiao procedure. Seven months after the surgery, her bladder and bowel functions had returned to normal.
